We invite you to the trailer launch of ‘Make Me A Leader’, a documentary-style movie that explores the importance of leadership in our personal and professional lives and what it takes to develop the human behind the leader.
This production has taken us around the world. We have interviewed many business leaders, academics, leadership researchers and scientists with the intention to show new frontier research & how we can use these findings to develop the leaders of the Imagination Age.
This interview-style session will feature Dr. Harald Harung, from Oslo & Akershus University College in Norway, who is visiting Sydney for this special occasion. Joining us virtually via a live feed will be his research partner, Dr. Fred Travis, Director of the Centre for Brain, Consciousness & Cognition at Maharishi University in Iowa, USA.

The interview will be led by Senior Vice President of People & Culture at Cochlear, Katharine McLennan who will be exploring with Drs. Harung and Travis the topics of mind-brain development, neuroplasticity and consciousness applied to human performance.
Dr. Harung is a high-performer in lecturing, research and in the sport of orienteering. He has for many years been teaching "Leadership, ethics and world-class performance" to classes of up to 500 students. Harald has also been working as a researcher and worldwide consultant within human performance development for over 30 years, both on the individual and organisational level. Harald has a Ph.D. from Manchester University and has been a researcher at Oxford University, both UK. He has published papers in the Journal of Managerial Psychology, Cognitive Processing, Consciousness and Cognition, Management Decision and the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports.
Dr. Travis is a Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science, Chair of the Department of Maharishi Vedic Science, Dean of the Graduate School, and Director of the Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition. He earned an MS and PhD in Psychology from Maharishi University of Management, and a BS in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University. Dr. Travis’ research work includes the effects of Transcendental Meditation practice on promoting healthy aging and the investigation of models of higher states of consciousness.
Katharine McLennan's combined career spans corporate strategy, operations, talent/leadership development and self-transformation. She is currently the Senior Vice President of People & Culture for Cochlear and has been the Head of the QBE Global Leadership Academy and Executive General Manager of the Talent and Business Unit HR for Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
In addition to these corporate roles, Katharine has spent the last 14 years as an executive coach and leadership facilitator serving the Top ASX 50 clients of Heidrick & Struggles, Johnson, Mettle and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she focused on C-suite preparation, development and succession planning.
Silvia Damiano is a scientist, educator, author, speaker, coach, award-winning leadership specialist and filmmaker. Silvia is the Founder & CEO of the About my Brain Institute, author of ‘Leadership is Upside Down’, creator of the i4 Neuroleader Model & Methodology and Writer/Director/Producer of the 2018 documentary ‘Make Me A Leader’.
